Citizens Bank Foundation contributes more than $33,000 to NeighborWorks® Greater Manchester as part of the Bringing You Home program with NH Fisher Cats

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Citizens Bank and NeighborWorks® Greater Manchester teamed up again this season to help low-income families purchase homes of their own. The Bringing You Home partnership between Citizens Bank and NeighborWorks® Greater Manchester, in cooperation with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, provided a fun opportunity to support efforts to increase home ownership in the Greater Manchester region.  For every run the Fisher Cats scored at home, the Citizens Bank Foundation donated $100 to NeighborWorks® Greater Manchester. This year the Fisher Cats scored 331 runs at home, enabling NeighborWorks® to receive $33,100 from the Citizens Bank Foundation.  

“Citizens Bank is a leader in helping to find solutions to the growing affordable housing gap that exists in the Greater Manchester area,” stated Robert Tourigny, Executive Director of NeighborWorks® Greater Manchester. “Its financial and volunteer support helps to provide home ownership opportunities where none previously existed for hard working families in this region. This Bringing You Home partnership demonstrated that continued commitment to our community.”

NeighborWorks® Greater Manchester is a non-profit organization that provides access to quality housing services for low-income families in the Greater Manchester region, including single family home ownership and development of multi-family apartments. With the funds raised from this year’s Bringing You Home program, NeighborWorks® Greater Manchester will provide access to quality housing services, revitalize neighborhoods and support opportunities for personal empowerment.

Since 1992, NeighborWorks® Greater Manchester has provided home ownership education to more than 4,000 families and helped over 600 low-income families purchase a home of their own.
