A COMMON VISION VIDEO

The NH Growth & Development Roundtable (GDR), a group of leaders from several of NH’s housing, conservation, municipal and business interests who meet together to foster a dialogue about the future of land use in the Granite State, is pleased to announce the release of a 12 minute video about their work entitled: A Common Vision.

A Common Vision, available by DVD or streaming on-line at nhroundtable.net, tells the story of the coming together of groups that traditionally had worked in separate spheres. Through interviews with GDR member housing and conservation advocates, as well as NH developers and planners, A Common Vision touts the benefits of collaboration in identifying common sense solutions to NH’s growth challenges. One of those solutions – increased funding for local planning – is the Housing and Conservation Planning Program (HCPP) http://www.nh.gov/oep/programs/HCPP/index.htm. Now providing funding to local municipalities and administered by the NH Office of Energy and Planning, HCPP is the direct outcome of the work of the Growth and Development Roundtable. A Common Vision is recommended for housing and conservation advocates and others interested in learning about this successful collaboration.
