The Community Services Department provides neighborhood residents with the tools to support their ideas that strengthen their community and build social capacity. Through a series of community-building activities and resident leadership trainings, neighborhoods will have a stronger voice and help determine the direction of their community. Neighborhoods will also be better equipped to address larger issues such as healthcare, housing and crime. The Community Services Committee also addresses these and other quality-of-life issues in the Greater Manchester region.
The Community Services Department is also responsible for assisting and empowering the 600-plus residents of NeighborWorks® Greater Manchester rental properties to achieve personal goals. Resident services programs include employment and social service assistance and referrals, an annual tenant barbecue, an after-school tutoring program and other after-school activities and the tenant newsletter.
If interested in joining the Community Services Committee or if you would like more information on the neighborhood-building programs and technical assistance offered by the Community Services Department, contact Community Services Coordinator Will Stewart or 603.626.4663, ext. 12.
